How long you are running website

Me and my friends launched our very first website back in 2008, I was 12 years old going on 13. As you can imagine, for various reasons the site never lasted the test of time, and eventually I fell out of contact with these friends too. But during the start of lockdown for COVID, we got back in contact and decided to try our hands at running a site again. This site has been running since May of this year and is growing at a decent pace.

I started my first site when I was around 7 or 8 I think. It was a pretty simple thing on Forumotion and I honestly had no idea what I was doing. It was meant to be a Club Penguin fan forum

I first started with html/css around 05 and have taken many breaks on the way. I really wish I kept at it back in the day, I would definitely be a lot wealthier...

20 years personally.

A lot of qualified webmasters here. How do you start so young ?

I started back in 2009, a bit later than some here. My first forum was hosted on Forumotion and it was a Pokemon ROM hacking community that my cousin, girlfriend (at the time she's my wife now), best friend, and internet friend ran. There was only 9 of us there, and I had no clue on how to promote the forum back then...

For me, it was joining my first forum which was a Club Penguin fan forum. I really liked the look of it and I just wanted to have my own site like that. So that led me to find out how to create a forum and it just spiralled on from there.

Someday, I will build a good forum. And invite you all.

I started about 8 years ago with a pirate forum and I am still running but not pirates forums

I have been in the space for over 15 years. My current website is 3 years old. I've sold my other communities over time.

Running a site for 1 year is tough for many including me. You have done a great job of running it for 3 years.

Thanks Jason. It's definitely a grind. But a strong work ethic and consistency goes a long ways.
